473 pulls 22-car train June 26, 2015

What a strong lady! Mechanical issues prevented one locomotive from being able to bring her train back to Durango so the train was coupled with the second train and pulled down with ONE locomotive.
After struggling on the slight incline southbound along the highline, the small K28 locomotive #473 (circa 1923!) and her experienced Engineer and Fireman, was able to restart from a full stop and continue pulling a 22-car train back to Durango. An amazing feat! One heck of an epic day for passengers and crew.
